Riad Dar Awil in Essaouira is incredibly beautiful and fairly clean. the professional staff during check-out were top-notch. the atmosphere was quiet and inviting. the hotel is conveniently located close to the ocean and beach, with Mellah right outside the door. We spent three perfect nights here and highly recommend it.

Make sure you stay in the double room with very comfortable bed, music, as for instance. It boasts perfect and nice location close to the old town close to the markets, Medina and beautiful Essaouira.

Zakaria, the host, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. the breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially for food enthusiasts like us.

The smoke alarm woke us up in the middle of the night with a loud alarm due to a battery issue. Although staff promptly resolved it, regular maintenance could have avoided such an incident.
